Following the allocation of this site for residential development in 2023, Stone Knight Partnership are pleased to present a Masterplan of a development for the enhancement of the area to be known as the Hebble Royd Development. This Masterplan will meet the aspirations of Calderdale’s Garden Community programme and promote a sustainable living environment integrated into its surroundings. Garden Communities are places with a distinct local identity; that promote health and well-being in a landscape environment. Places where active travel and public modes of transport are convenient and provide efficient trip making options. Garden communities create proactive communities that are at the ​heart of the long-term management and stewardship of their place.

 

As part of this process, a consultation with local neighbours and stakeholders is taking place allowing them to comment on the proposals and have their say.

The Masterplan outlines the principles for the development of the site to ensure it will reflect the unique character of the landscape, maximise the opportunities to enhance biodiversity and achieve an attractive layout to encourage walking and cycling as well address traffic generation.

 

In addition to creating new, inclusive and sustainable housing, the Masterplan includes a Care Village featuring a Medical Centre, Pharmacy and Community Hub with direct pedestrian access to the existing town centre via a signature foot bridge to enhance and extend the facilities on offer within the District.
